The Teacher Leadership journal
The Teacher Leadership journal was created to inspire and encourage teachers to exercise leadership by illuminating and celebrating what teachers are doing to lead the development of practice. It has included articles written by teachers themselves and stories about teachers' projects written by the editors and by people who facilitate teacher leadership. The aims of the journal were the same as for the blog described above - drawing attention both to teachers’ leadership of development work to improve teaching and to programmes of support for teacher leadership. Recently the hard copy journal was replaced by the blog which continues to gather articles and stories.
Since the Teacher Leadership journal began there have been 7 issues which have appeared in hard copy. Each issue contains 4 or 5 articles written by teachers about their leadership of development work and 6 or 7 stories written by members of the editorial team about teachers’ leadership of development work. All of this material together with editorials is now available as downloadable pdf files on this site. All items are listed in the composite contents list below. When you have found an item you are interested in, please click on the Resources tab above, then on the Teacher Leadership journal tab and click on the relevant issue.
